Simple Machine Drawlings..(:

In class we had to draw a pictures tht included three of the simple machines. The three machines are Wheel and Axle, Pully, and a Lever.

For the Pully i drew
an elevator. The load is the person being lifted and the effort is the little monster that is pulling him up. The fulcrum is the axle on the pully.

For the diagram of a Lever, i drew a picture of a teeter totter. The load is the girl that is being lifted and the effort is the weight on the other end. The fulcrum is the triangular base that the teeter totter is resting on.

For my wheel and Axle picture i just kept it simple and drew an actual wheel and axle. The load is the thing that the wheel is attached to and the effort is what's making the wheel rotate. The fulcrum is the axle, or rod, that the wheel spins on.

We watched the other half of a video that had the other three simple machines. We took notes and then our teachers asked us to draw pictures of a Wedge, Screw, and Inclined Plane.

For my example of an Inclined Plane i drew a ramp. When using a ramp the load is the person walking up the ramp and the effort is the ramp itself.

I drew a picture of a shark attacking a boat for my example of a wedge. The load would be the boat that the shark is biting into and the teeth of the shark are the effort. There is no fulcrum in my picture.

I just drew a picture of a screw for my diagram of a Screw. On a screw the effort is what's screwing the screw into something. The load is the piece of wood that it's screwing into.

My name's Siera. I have many younger siblings. Kameron,Kalieb,Landynn,Leah,Sydney,Gunner,Skyler, and Gavin are their names. My bestfriends would have to be Amanda,Paige,Jenna,Lauren, and Desiree. I have 5 dogs, 3 cats, 2 rabbits, and one hamster. I have been to 8 LA Lakers games in my lifetime, which happens to be my favorite basketball team. I enjoy watching football as well. My favorite football teams are the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers. My favorite sports that i am involved in are soccer, cheer, and softball. Favorite food is pickles ans mac& cheese. Dr.Pepper is my favorite drink.

Simple Machines At School
Simple machines are things that we use every day that help make life easier. There are many different kinds of simple machines that many people don’t necessarily think of as “machines”.

Flyswatter
This is me with a flyswatter. A flyswatter is a lever because the fulcrum is at the bottom, the effort is in the middle, and the load is at the end. The lever allows us to move faster to kills insects.

Stapler

This is me with a stapler. Is made up of a Lever and a Wedge.A stapler is made up of simple machines because when you push on the top you are useing a lever and when the staple goes through the papers it is wedging between them.

Ramp

This is me walking up a ramp. A ramp is a simple machine because it's a slope that makes it easier to walk up, or push and pull something up to a higher level. It's alot easier than trying to get boxes up stairs.
